Understanding Tongue-Tie

Worried your baby might have a tongue-tie?

Tongue-tie can make feeding painful for you and frustrating for your baby: shallow latch, clicking sounds, long feeds, poor weight gain. A proper assessment tells you whether a simple division procedure could help, and whether it is even needed at all.

4–11%

of babies are born with a tongue-tie (NHS). With specialist assessment and support, breastfeeding is often still achievable.
